The AtomCloud automated data processing workflows search for internal structure in raw, abstract data and extract physically meaningful quantities to help you interpret this internal structure. For example, in the RHEED data stream, AtomCloud clusters all of the patterns to identify transitions in the RHEED measurements over time. Extracted properties include but are not limited to intensity oscillation period, number of diffraction spots, spot-to-spot distance, spot shape and size, and a quantification of the streak-like vs. spot-like characteristic of the pattern. Matching changes in these quantities alongside the cluster results provides context to interpret the identified transitions. An example study using similar methodology to reveal the relationship between growth conditions and surface structure is linked here.โ
By default, data that you upload to the AtomCloud platform is labeled as private, viewable only by theโ uploader and their organization. Intellectual property and all commercial rights for data markedโ as private belongs to the organization associated with the uploader, at the time of upload. Atomicโ Data Sciences never claims any intellectual property rights over the raw data or analysis results. โSee more in IP, Privacy, and Security.
Data sharing within the AtomCloud userbase can be enabled for individual data items or for entireโ user accounts by marking items as shared; this will allow other AtomCloud users to view (but not edit)โ these data items and results. โโ
Under private data sharing, Atomic Data Sciences reserves the right to use data uploaded to the platform solely for product improvements and model development. This can be changed by setting the sharing level to incognito. Data marked as incognito will be visible only to the uploading organization and excluded from Atomic Data Sciencesโ internal research and development.โ
Each data stream subscription has an annual processing credit quota which is tracked automatically inโ the platform. Quotas are tracked at the organizational level. Credit utilization ties back to the underlying processing and resource intensity of a particular service and different datatypes consume credits differently; for example, a quota of 1000 credits annually is roughly equivalent to 400 hours of RHEED video data at 10fps and industry standard resolution.
If you decide to cancel your subscription, you will have the option to get a copy of all data uploaded by your organization and associated results transferred to you. Data that is marked incognito or private will be removed completely from the platform, except for a backup that Atomic Data Sciences will retain off-platform for one year beyond the cancelation date in case account restoration is requested. Data that is marked as shared will be retained on the platform.โ
